Personal tokens
Tokens anyone can issue and use with no setup.
What a person notices
Two people can agree to use a token between themselves right away. There's no group to set up first, no operator to sign off, and nothing to configure ahead of time.
This is a genuinely lighter path than a group's own governed token. It's meant for a person, or a couple of people, doing something on the spot rather than a whole group building shared infrastructure.
If something started this way later grows into a group that wants real structure, voting and a shared treasury, that heavier path exists too. It's just a separate, deliberate step rather than something a person is forced into from day one.
What you get as a developer
A personal token doesn't need a Hive, an operator, or any rail or payment integration wired up beforehand. It can be minted by simple bilateral agreement between two people, with no governance vote and no shared treasury required to get started.
No group required
A token can be minted directly between people by bilateral agreement, without a Hive or any group structure existing first.
No operator, no pre-wired rails
There's no dependency on an operator granting permission or a payment integration being set up in advance before a token can exist and move.
A genuinely separate, lighter path
This isn't a stripped-down version of the Hive-governed kind, it's a different, lighter-weight path in the same token system, built for a person or a small group acting on the spot.
The heavier path is still there when wanted
A Hive-governed token with a treasury and voting is available separately, for when a group deliberately wants that structure instead.
Personal tokens live in the same token system as group tokens, but skip the governance vote and shared treasury entirely. Nothing about issuing or using one requires setting up a group first.
